What’s new in Attendly

Each release, newest first, with the headline features and the smaller improvements and fixes for the web and the mobile app.

Newer updates

v1.26

Cancel an event and tell everyone

Web

Cancel from the event page and everyone who booked gets an email straight away. Anyone who paid is told their refund will follow. The event page stays up and says the event is cancelled.

  • Cancelled events are marked as cancelled in your events list, not as finished.
  • Mobile appCancelled events no longer appear in the app’s list of events to check in.

v1.25

Take card payments for tickets

Web

Set a ticket price on any event and people pay by card when they book. The money goes to your own bank account. Attendly takes its fee from each payment, so there is nothing to invoice and no monthly charge.

Connecting your bank account takes a few minutes and you only do it once. Charities and other Stripe-verified nonprofits pay a lower rate.

  • Paid bookings show the amount paid on the guest list and in the check-in app.
  • Buyers get a receipt by email.

v1.24
  • Fixed the Register button staying greyed out after you corrected a typo in the email field.
  • Mobile appFixed the app not going back to the top when you switched events.

v1.23

Invite your team by email

Type in someone’s email address and they get an invitation to join your organisation. If they do not have an account yet, the link helps them create one first. You can resend an invite at any time. That gives them a fresh link and another seven days to accept.

  • WebPending and accepted invites are listed together on the Organisation page.
  • Mobile appInvitations open in the app when it is installed on the phone.
  • Fixed an invite not matching the account that accepted it when the email had capital letters.

v1.22

Give volunteers just the door

Add someone to a single event as a volunteer. They can check people in for that event and nothing else. They never see your other events, your settings or any payment details. Handing a phone to a new volunteer takes two minutes.

  • Mobile appThe check-in app hides settings and event editing for volunteers.
  • WebOrganisation owners can remove a team member from the Organisation page.

v1.21
  • Organisations now have a contact email address. It appears in the emails attendees receive.
  • WebEvery organisation picks a type when it is set up, such as charity, school or venue.
  • WebFixed long organisation names overlapping the menu on small screens.

v1.20

Check people in from your phone

Mobile app

Open an event in the app on the day and check people in as they arrive. Search by name and tap to check in. The running total updates for everyone on the door at the same time. If someone turns up without booking, add them on the spot.

Guest lists that fill in as people book

Web

Each event has a guest list. It shows the name, email address and booking time for everyone who registers. You can add someone yourself. You can also upload a list of names from a spreadsheet for people who booked another way.

  • Attendees get a confirmation email with the event details.
  • WebSet a capacity for an event and bookings close on their own when it is reached.

That’s everything since launch.
